Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint | Chelsea Posts Beauty Review

I absolutely love Barry M nail varnishes, I have about 28 and counting in my collection and this is my first Barry M nail varnish entry, starring Blueberry gelly! They are available to purchase at Barry M and any other official stockists for rrp £3.99...

Lets just say that I am massively impressed by the gelly formula, for a cheaper brand this polish on your nails would easily be mistaken for Orly or Opi due to how vibrant and glossy they appear! I was slightly sceptical at first as every brand seems to be producing a gelly type of nail formula, seemingly it appears that most of the 'gloss' that they offer can be produced by just layering on a top coat, not the case with Barry M!
After one coat of Blueberry

As you can see this polish is already living up to it's glossy finish claims after one, thin coat! Although this polish does look pretty opaque already, always add a second coat to see the full intensity of both the colour and glossy finish.

Never apply just one thick layer and leave it at that, this will take ages to dry and will most likely chip! Always use a base coat (not necessary but if available) to prevent staining of your nails, then apply a light layer of your chosen varnish as this will dry quicker and enable you to layer up to your desired intensity!

A top coat will prevent chipping and add an extra glossy, this isn't necessary for this varnish as it lasts a good 5 days without chipping and is really glossy!

Remember, shake before use.

Barry M Hi Shine gel effect Nail Paint provides an extra glossy finish in just one coat.
- Highly-pigmented, chip resistant formula- Gives a glossy, gel-like finish with a single coat- In a range of colour-pop hues
2 coats of Blueberry

Gorgeous, vibrant glossy colour! This lasted me 5 days before any chipping appeared, even then the chipping was barely catastrophic. For a £3.99 a pop, you can hardly complain at the price for what beautiful nails this varnish creates. Perfect for hands and toes, a summer MUST have!
