I am a body scrub fanatic, whether it be in the cooler months where you can 100% count on me sporting a fake tan or when I am in need of sloughing away dead skin cells - a body scrub is my saviour.
I have tried every single Soap and Glory scrub, from self heating ones to squeezy tubes or round pots, I've been there and tried that!
Today's review is on Flake Away, this is one of S&G's most popular scrubs yet surprisingly it was the scrub I had tried last, no particular reason as to why that is the case it may be due to my absolute love affair with the porridge-y smell of S&G Breakfast Scrub or the zesty lime scent of S&G Sugar Crush (My personal favourites!).
With this pot you get 300ml of product for £7.50 and can be purchased at Boots, they also offer a smaller 50ml pot that can be purchased for £2.50 - perfect for travelling or testing out.

Perfect for pre shaving ex foliation, getting rid of dead skin cells and even greater for those who regularly wear fake tan.
This ex foliates the skin without feeling too harsh or abrasive, it doesn't leave the skin overly dry however I do recommend using a body butter/lotion afterwards as you can fully reap in the benefits of the moisturising properties in your lotion as fresh skin cells are exposed and this allows your skin to look plumper, healthier and feel a lot smoother.
This scrub also has a floral, candy-sweet scent that is quite similar to a lot of other S&G body products, it isn't an offensive scent but it can linger on the skin for a while after application.
S&G also recommends that you don't use this scrub on any irritated skin (Burns ect.) or abrasions as this does contain salt and WILL sting, if you do have any shaving cuts or any skin problems of any nature it is fine to use this scrub on any other areas around the problem, just don't apply it directly onto the area. Salt in a wound, eek

After continuous use...
as with all shower potted products, no matter what you do water will always find its way in there! So as you get to the bottom of the scrub, you may find it becomes to look a bit 'sludgy' in a way, do not worry as this in no way ruins the product and can still be used to its full effectiveness.
