The Body Shop Baked-To-Last Blush is a shimmery, baked (no surprises there) duo blush that features a fuchsia pink blush and separate light peachy coloured highlighter that both contain traces of shimmer...
You can purchase this duo blush at The Body Shop at £12 for 5g of product that's housed in a sturdy, secure clear plastic pot that allows you to clearly see the blush that's contained within the pot. I've had no issues with the packaging despite the few times I have dropped this product (Oops!), the plastic is genuinely very thick which could fool you for glass packaging! However, I cannot imagine the lid popping open nor will it smash due to it being plastic during travelling, thus perfect to pop into your bag or luggage!
Blush in pan (daylight)
This blush is available to buy in 2 shades, I have 02 Coral which is the more vibrant shade yet this can be easily used on the lightest of skin tones straight through to some of the darkest. Although the peachy shade is described as a 'highlight' this looks beautiful on lighter skintones as a regular blush, if you fit this category also you should consider being light handed when using the darker shade to avoid clown cheeks.
These blushes remind me of MAC's Mineralize Blushes/Skinfinishes due to their baked formula, dome shape and shimmery look. If you're like me and suffer from minor blemishes or prehaps have scarring, do not let the whole concept of this blush being 'shimmery' put you off, as this doesn't contain actual chunks of glitter like MAC blushes or MSF's, these blushes just give a nice sheen and doesn't accentuate pores or blemishes.
Blush in pan (flash)
Swatched; Blush (left), Highlight (middle), Blush and highlight blended (right)
As you can see both shades of the duo blush can be used either separately as blushes (lighter shade for highlight) or together to create a gorgeous coral shade, that look wonderful on a variety of skintones. If you are paler toned and you're slightly hesitant on how bright this blush appears, you can always check out the paler shade 01 Petal.
I did build up the swatches to make them look heavier, the actual formula of these blushes come off slightly sheer but promisingly pigmented. You can build up this blush according to the intensity of your preference without looking cakey or too made up.
Swatched with flash; Blush (left), Highlight (middle), Blush and highlight blended (right)
This blush looks amazing during the daytime or night time for flash photography I definitely recommend using the duo as a blush/highlight combination as it truly gives you that defined, sculpted effect whilst having a pop of colour on the apples of your cheeks!
For wear time, I'd say that this lasts around the 6 hour mark and then gradually starts to fade. Depending on how much you've applied then this definitely meets the 8 hour claims, bravo Body Shop.
